Chipman Farm established in 1781, is one of Maine's oldest working farms. The first generation of Chipman's came from England and established a dairy farm. We remained exclusively a dairy farm until Doug Chipman started growing vegetables in late 1970's. We now grow 80 acres of mixed crops, including corn, tomatoes, peas, green beans and just about everything else you can think of. All our crops are hand picked daily and sold through our three farm stands in Poland Springs, Raymond and Gray.

The farm is currently operated by the 7th generation of Chipmans. Doug and Elaine Chipman operate the farm with their children (the 8th generation) Tomi & Alana Chipman.

During our peak season in July we employ over 45 farm hands. Most of our employees are local residents. Some of our help, like Salvador, has been with us for 14 seasons now.

Our love of farming and entertaining lead us to open Pumpkin Land in 1994. We have expanded every year since we first opened. This year we are excited about our newest attraction, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom on the haunted dayride!

Our Fall Harvest tours also started in 1994. Since then, thousands of Maine children have come to our farm and spent the day learning what it takes to grow crops, tend animals and run a successful farm. Many schools make Chipman Farm their fall field trip destination year after year. We hope you will come and experience all our farm has to offer.
